Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also popularly referred to as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American artist, performer-singer comic, radio host and comedian. Her birthplace was in Mexico City, and was raised by comedian Raul Vale. Angelica Maria Vale Hartman is well-known as the pioneer in the La Balada Ranchera musical genre which climbed to the top of charts in 1973. Angelica Maria became the first Latino singer to achieve 2 million copies sold in the United States. She became acquainted with Venezuelan singer/comedian Raul Vale in 1974.
